Create Your First Page

Overview

In this assignment, you'll create a landing page for a fictitious business of your choice. A landing page is the first thing a visitor sees when they arrive at your website. Its purpose is to inform visitors about who you are, what you offer, and why they should care

A landing page for a web site is commonly referred to as the home page by users and developers

Your Landing Page

Think about what kind of business you want to represent. It could be a coffee shop, a pet grooming service, a consulting firm, a local bakery—anything that interests you! The key is to create something that looks professional and inviting

Assignment 1 Landing Page Content

Your landing page will contain a main title and a subtitle. These are large text (Header 1 and header 3) with different colors. The text is centered on the page

Below the titles is a horizontal rule to separate the titles from the main content. The horizontal rule will be centered and less than the full width of the page

The main content of your pages will be 2 - 3 paragraphs about your business. These paragraphs will be centered and have a space between each

Another horizontal rule appears below the main content styled the same as the top one

Finally, a copyright appears centered at the bottom of the page with your name and the year
